I received the following error the other day:

Error loading LoadTables.dtsx: Unable to instantiate XML DOM document, please verify that MSXML binaries are properly installed and registered.
Out of nowhere this just comes in and sits on my SSIS package and appears when I try to open up any of the packages and then I get graced with the joy of having the content of all of my packages disappear.
After a bit of research I did find this posting on the MSDN Forums. Somehow the XML Services on the PC I was using "broker" but a reinstall of MSXML6 fixed the problem and all was good. Well, good with the error… I did need to restore the package from SoureSafe but the virtues of source code control can be saved for another day.
